King Charles III is “warming” to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a royal journalist has claimed. However, the commentator also revealed that the Sussexes’ relationship with another member of the Royal Family “will never change”.

According to Omid Scobie, who was once dubbed Harry and Meghan’s “cheerleader”, the relationship between the King and the Sussexes has moved forward in recent times. The King met with the Sussexes earlier this summer for a private meeting at Highgrove House. The meeting marked the first time he had seen Meghan, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet since 2022. It is also reported that Harry has been in regular contact with his father since returning to the UK at the end of August.

Prince Harry revealed the most “British thing” he has done with his family since moving back to the UK last month. The Duke of Sussex, who has spent the last six years living in California, is back on home soil after relocating back to the UK in August.

Earl Spencer did not particularly speak to his sister, the late Princess Diana, unless he wanted privileged seats or tickets, a former royal butler has claimed. The earl has been dominating headlines recently following the release of his new book this week about the late Princess of Wales.

Swan Song: Diana, My Sister features a series of bombshell claims about the King. In it, Charles Spencer claims that the King, then the Prince of Wales, said about Diana, “we’ll forget her soon enough” during an argument over whether the then Princes William and Harry should walk behind their mother’s coffin in her funeral procession. The memoir also alleges the King “sounded giddily elated – like a lottery winner” when he spoke to the earl after Diana’s death.

The king made a candid quip about his health during a visit to Scotland earlier this week. King Charles was visiting Peterhead Port in Aberdeenshire to learn about upcoming projects in renewable energy.

But while unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit, he made a joke about whether he’d be around to see it finished. He said: “It’s fantastic to see such a remarkable effort and teamwork and coordination. Whether I shall still be alive by the time you complete it, I don’t know!”

King Charles has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer for more than two years after being diagnosed in January 2024. But he said in December 2025 that an early diagnosis and effective intervention meant it could be scaled back.

Prince William made an under-the-radar appearance in London while his wife, Princess Catherine, marked Addiction Awareness Week in Essex. According to the Court Circular, the Royal Family’s official record of engagements, the Prince of Wales visited the Secret Intelligence Service in London on Thursday.

Later in the day, he met with the director-general of the BBC, Matt Brittin. Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales visited Garon Park in Southend, Essex, where the charity the Forward Trust hosts weekly gardening sessions for recovering addicts it supports. Catherine heard moving stories from people recovering from addiction and showed her green-fingered side as she visited a garden where people in recovery can embrace the outdoors.

The Princess of Wales hosted a tea party at Windsor Castle for fellow Three Peaks Challenge finishers, including a nine-year-old amputee and a runner who became the fastest person to complete the endurance challenge while running between each peak.

Catherine, who climbed the tallest peaks in Wales, Scotland and England in less than 24 hours in June, invited some of the people she met during her own climb for an intimate chat over tea and cake. A video of the special afternoon was shared by Kensington Palace, accompanied by a personal message from the princess in which she said that the challenge was a “powerful reminder that recovery is rarely a journey we make alone”.

The 30-second video showed Catherine, who wore a maroon belted dress with her long hair in mermaid waves, chatting with the nine guests in one of the state rooms of the Berkshire royal residence.

Those invited for tea and cake included 11-year-old Ted Haslam, whom Catherine met several times during her challenge. Ted completed the Three Peaks Challenge while being pushed and carried in his wheelchair by his father, Pete, and 15 family members and friends, raising money for the children’s charity Molly Ollys.

New reports that Sarah Ferguson is planning to pen an explosive autobiography have been rubbished by an insider. The source said there is no truth in the story and that the former Duchess of York “has no plans to write any tell-all memoir” and is “unaware of any multi-million dollar book deal”.

The denial comes shortly after reports that Ms Ferguson is “days away” from making a deal regarding her autobiography. The Sun reported that a chapter-by-chapter synopsis has already been written, with detailed notes on “key subjects,” which reportedly include her thoughts on her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor; Jeffrey Epstein; King Charles; and Harry and Meghan.

Ms Ferguson has kept a low profile following damaging fresh details regarding her connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She has continuously denied all wrongdoing.

Catherine, who completed the endurance event that involves climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, invited some of the people whom she met during her own climb in June.

The Princess of Wales was invited to Kylie Kelce’s podcast, Not Gonna Lie.

Kylie is the wife of Jason, who is the brother of Swift’s husband, Travis Kelce.

Prince Harry left youngsters in stitches following his whirlwind trip to New York City this week, it has emerged.

The Duke of Sussex visited the Green Apple for the first time since he returned to the UK last month.
