Prince Harry is set to make a return to the UK in July and experts are analysing what the trip could look like. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were due to travel from the USA with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet – but now, plans are looking more uncertain.

Prince Harry reportedly reconsidered the visit when police protection was rejected, leaving the Sussexes’ plans in a mess just days before the family was due to travel. TalkTV reporter, Mark Dolan, said: “Why would they say they’re coming and then potentially not – that’s a bear trap.”

On The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Podcast, Bronte Coy, Royal Reporter, said: “I was staggered by the turn of events that happened over the weekend. It is staggering to me that there has clearly been this reputational rehab push in Britain and everything was laid out a couple of weeks ago.”

She added: “The plans were in place for them to come over here and there was going to be all this big promotional blitz for the Invictus Games and the reconciliation which was obviously going to happen between the children and Charles.

“For this to then come apart so quickly and in such a catastrophic way, no matter what happens – it is already a disaster now.”

A spokesperson for the duke said he was still exploring every available option to enable the visit to proceed safely and to give his children the opportunity to enjoy the UK.
