Opinion: Meghan Markle’s latest carefully curated appearances suggest her relationship with Britain may be far from over after all.

Prince Harry’s return to Britain this summer for the Invictus Games is guaranteed to dominate headlines. But while much of the attention will inevitably focus on the Duke of Sussex, I suspect Meghan Markle’s every move will be analysed just as closely.
If she joins Harry in the UK, I don’t believe it will simply be about supporting her royal husband. Meghan, 44, has always understood the power of imagery, storytelling and carefully curated moments, particularly since launching As Ever.

Looking at what she has chosen to share over the past year, I think there are already clues about the direction she is heading. None of this is fact, of course, but patterns often tell us just as much as official announcements.
If history is anything to go by, I believe Meghan will use a British visit to reinforce the lifestyle narrative she has been building. And if she does, I would not be surprised if it ultimately shapes the next chapter of As Ever.
Wimbledon will almost certainly feature
If Serena Williams is competing, I would be surprised if Wimbledon did not make Meghan’s itinerary.
The Duchess has attended the Championships and famously appeared there alongside Princess Catherine in happier royal days, making it one of the few places where her pre- and post-royal worlds naturally overlap.
It also fits perfectly with the polished, aspirational aesthetic she has cultivated through As Ever. Wimbledon delivers everything her brand currently leans into: strawberries, sunshine, immaculate whites and quintessential British tradition.
If Meghan returns to Britain, Centre Court feels less like a possibility and more like an obvious stop on the schedule. But the real question is, will she be welcome in the royal box?

Expect carefully curated behind-the-scenes moments
If Meghan does spend time in Britain, I also expect we will see carefully curated behind-the-scenes content. That does not necessarily mean official photographs or highly polished portraits, but rather the kind of ‘fly-on-the-wall’ glimpses that have become central to her storytelling.
Whether it is a table setting, flowers on a windowsill or a quiet moment preparing for the day, these images help build the lifestyle narrative surrounding As Ever.
Meghan has shown repeatedly that she prefers inviting audiences into carefully selected moments rather than simply documenting events. I suspect a UK visit would provide the perfect backdrop for more of that visual storytelling.

Britain could inspire the next As Ever collection
More than anything, I think Britain itself could become Meghan’s biggest source of inspiration. As Ever has already experimented with products inspired by cosy rituals, including hot toddy kits, so expanding into a distinctly British summer collection would feel like a natural progression.
I can easily imagine preserves inspired by English strawberries, picnic hampers, Pimm’s-inspired entertaining ideas, Eton Mess recipes or garden-party essentials appearing in a future launch.
Britain is rich with seasonal traditions that translate effortlessly into lifestyle branding, and Meghan has shown she enjoys turning experiences into products.
If she does return, I would not be surprised if she leaves with far more than photographs and memories – I think she could leave with the blueprint for As Ever’s next collection.
Whether any of those predictions become reality remains to be seen. But Meghan has built her post-royal career on carefully crafted storytelling, and Britain still provides some of the richest material available.
Every outing, photograph and social media post has the potential to reinforce the image she wants audiences to see.
That is why I believe any UK visit will be about far more than simply accompanying Prince Harry. It could quietly become the inspiration behind the next evolution of As Ever.
