A GB News row exploded over the government’s refusal to release data on migrant crime. Matthew Goodwin accused the Labour government of making excuses to avoid releasing the data, while political commentator Andy Twelves argued that there is no standardised data collection system across every police force in the country, making the figures difficult to compile and release. Goodwin raged: “It’s an excuse! Left-wing politicians and Labour pundits lecture the British people about misinformation and then they won’t give people the information about what is going on in this country
“You cannot impose a policy of broken borders and illegal migration and not tell people how it is affecting their own country.” He added: “Every day there is a story about a sexual assault of a young girl or a woman in this country. It is clearly systemic. It is clearly way beyond what we’ve been told.”
He went on to say that he hoped someone like Andy Burnham would stand up and take responsibility for “not delivering in the grooming gangs enquiry and failing white working class girls in this country”, while ensuring the government has a standardised way of collecting and sharing the data by the end of next month or the year.
Goodwin fumed: “Will he do that? Of course he won’t do that. Guess why, because the Labour Party depends on migrants for votes, that’s why.
“They won’t go near it because the parliamentary Labour Party is so woke, it’s so disconnected from ordinary people that it’s happy to sacrifice these teenage girls on the altar of multiculturalism.”
Twelves snapped back, claiming Goodwin was attempting to “get his clip” before describing his argument as “nonsense”.

He explained: “Standardising data collection across the police force is not something that can be done instantly. I know it doesn’t work for your clip and you can compare to Denmark and these other police systems, but that’s not the way the police collect data in this country.
Taking a swipe at Goodwin, Twelves said: “I think it’s ironic you do talk about misinformation given your own credibility issues but the government aren’t lying about the data.”
The political commentator snapped back: “I think I’m the only person telling the British people the truth about what is going on in this country.”
Twelves argued once again that Goodwin lied in his book, prompting him to quickly shut down the claims.
“You did get caught out,” Twelves retorted.
Goodwin went on: “At least now the British people are beginning to understand the truth of what politicians have done to their country,” before calling out Twelves for being unable to say that “Labour has failed British women and girls for decades”.
Twelves responded: “You’re lying about the way we collect standardised data in this country and then you’re denying that your book had lies.”
The pair continued clashing, with Twelves repeatedly accusing Goodwin of “trying to get a clip”.
A frustrated Goodwin hit back: “When that pamphlet dropped and they said to asylum seekers and illegal migrants do not sexually assault girls, do not rape women, they knew exactly what they were doing because they have seen the data and the information that they refuse to give us.”
