Donald Trump broke his silence on the news of Harry and Meghan returning to the UK.

US President Donald Trump has had his say on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the UK – and it isn’t a positive view. GB News was halted for a breaking news update as the channel updated viewers on the American leader’s thoughts.
The channel cut to a clip of the 80-year-old politician speaking at a press conference when he was asked about his thoughts on the matter of the Royals leaving the US. He replied with a deadpan face, saying: “I’m happy about it,” as the people in the room chuckled around him. He went on: “I was not a fan. Look, I had a very good relationship with the Queen [Elizabeth], really good and I got to know her really well. I had a really good relationship with King Charles, I’ve known him as Prince Charles and King Charles, he’s a great guy.
“But I thought that they [Harry and Meghan] treated the Royal Family with great disrespect. I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the way she acted, I thought that she was terribly disrespectful to the Queen and King Charles.
“I don’t know, maybe I’m different, but I would not have taken them back. If I were the Royal Family, I would not have taken them back.”
The screen then cut back to presenter Martin Daubney in the GB News studio. “Oo, what a bombshell that was,” he declared.
“President Trump has broken his silence there, when he was asked about the return of the Sussexes.” He repeated some of what Trump had said before adding: “Donald Trump being Donald Trump.”
He went on to say that the President is “shooting from the hip” as he “more or less is saying ‘good riddance'”.
It was reported that the couple would be relocating to the UK in August. They will not return to official duties but will live in Britain as non-working royals.
It is thought the family will base themselves at a private property outside of London in the Cotswolds area.
Archie and Lilibet have been enrolled in school ahead of the new term starting this week.
The Sussexes left the UK and stepped back from their royal duties in early 2020, before settling in California in March that year.
