This is the moment a British Airways cabin crew member was forced to step in to restrain an unruly passenger aboard a flight heading to Las Vegas.

Video footage shows a man repeatedly using foul language during a heated confrontation with fellow passengers on the aircraft departing from London Heathrow.

A British Airways flight attendant subsequently intervenes in a bid to defuse the situation, yet he persistently ignores her instructions.

She orders him to “stay seated, sir” and “listen to instructions” before he grows increasingly aggressive towards both crew members and fellow travellers.

She warns him: ‘If I have to tell you again, I will be restraining you, sir, if you do not stay seated.’

Despite her efforts, his conduct forced the cancellation of takeoff and the summoning of police to the scene.

Clad in a blue T-shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms, the passenger was subsequently confronted by armed officers and escorted off the aircraft.

Surrounded by police and placed in handcuffs, he was led well away from the Airbus A350, with footage swiftly circulating across social media shortly afterwards.
