Nigel Farage capitalised on Parliament’s recess by hosting a rally this evening in Romford, in which he railed against “loser” Keir Starmer following today’s enormous u-turn over scrapping local elections.
Reform UK’s leader was joined by local MP Andrew Rosindell, who defected from the Tories to Reform last month, who told the homecoming audience that Reform will both take on Sadiq Khan, and allow Romford to leave Greater London in favour of Essex.
Mr Farage launched into a furious rant against Keir Starmer after today’s local government u-turn, fuming: “And now, with a 14th major turn from this inept, useless, gutless, unpatriotic, loser of a Prime Minister.
“Today they threw in the towel. I will not have my day in the high court on Thursday. The government has given in and all 30 elections will go ahead.
He also called on the Local Government Secretary, Steve Reed, to resign over the row.
