One of Vladimir Putin’s most prominent propagandists has urged Russia to not only strike three UK towns but to “destroy them” as tensions continue to escalate across the west. In a recent televised broadcast shared by monitoring group Russian Media Monitor, Pro-Kremlin TV host Vladimir Solovyov, asserted that since Britain is “openly participating in attacks against Russia” they “won’t have to ask why they were struck”.
Putin’s close ally made his feelings towards Britain clear following the UK’s decision to provide Ukraine with Storm Shadow blueprints, which are capable of hitting targets around 150 miles (241km) into Russia. Solovyov said: “We don’t need to attack them, we need to destroy them. No need to attack, we should destroy them.”

Solovyov also referred to and echoed a threat made by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, who warned last week:
“We have repeatedly warned that any British military installations and equipment in Ukraine and beyond its borders could be targeted in response to Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory carried out using British weapons.
“We propose that the British leadership once again carefully analyse the situation and immediately, in the most resolute and unequivocal manner, abandon the hostile, aggressive line which can only … create the risk of the conflict escalating to an entirely new level.”
The UK currently has three towns that are manufacturing/ assembling drones. One Ukraine production hub is TEKEVER in Swindon, the largest publicly announced UK drone factory relevant to Ukraine. Located in the Grade II* listed Spectrum Building, the 254,000sq ft site serves as a core hub for the production of AR3 EVO and AR5 unmanned aerial systems.
TEKEVER’s Welsh facility is in St Athan, Vale of Glamorgan, which produces AR3 systems.
Another Ukrainian drone manufacturer is in Mildenhall, Suffolk. Ukrspecsystems opened the major £200million manufacturing facility in February 2026 to build surveillance drones like the PD-2 and Shark.
However, Ukrspecsystems has yet to become fully operational because it has not received approval to export technology.
In April, the UK announced the biggest ever drone package for Ukraine, delivering at least 120,000 drones for Kyiv this year.
Solovyov then unleashed a long winded rant against Europe where he constantly trashed the continent as having nothing that Russia would want for them to “conquer” it.
The prominent Russian state broadcaster said: “What do they have that we could take? What do they possess that we would urgently want to conquer them? What could we take from them?
“The Chinese have better cars than Europe. The clothes are being made in China either way. I’m very curious what does Europe have? Their women? Yuck.”

Earlier today, Putin said is is a “military secret” whether or not Russia is weighing up possible strikes on British military sites.
He added that “any military facilities in Ukraine are our legitimate target, British or otherwise”. This follows Russia’s foreign ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, warning Britain that the nation risks taking the conflict to a new level.
She told a Moscow news briefing that Britain and France were “playing with fire” by supplying sensitive missile technology to Ukraine.
