“Mr. Desalagne was arrested at the scene on suspicion of sexual assault and charged as above.”

Desalagne, now 33, was recently found guilty of rape at Harrow Crown Court after a trial where CCTV showed he subjected the heavily intoxicated victim to a prolonged 20-minute attack while traffic passed nearby.

After initially claiming he was trying to assist the intoxicated victim, Desalagne refused to testify or speak further once investigators confronted him with CCTV evidence, according to The Telegraph.

The jury deliberated for just over two hours before convicting him

Following the verdict, the judge remanded Desalagne in custody, scheduling his formal sentencing hearing for later this fall.

Medical personnel treated the victim for injuries immediately following the attack in July 2025.

The Metropolitan Police Service placed the man under the care of dedicated sexual offense officers who specialize in trauma support.

During the August 2026 trial, the prosecution emphasized that the victim was targeted specifically due to his extreme vulnerability at the time.
