Returning to GB News on Tuesday, Patrick Christys has slammed Andy Burnham and his Labour Government for their handling of the UK migrant crisis. Reflecting on the government’s plans to use military barracks as migrant housing, the journalist announced that the residents of Piddington in Oxfordshire are “hitting back”.
Noting that the barracks in Piddington could accommodate up to 1,250 men, Christys told viewers: “Andy Burnham is relaxing on a nice summer holiday with his family. Well, the families of Piddington, they’re certainly not relaxing.”
“Now we can reveal that the children of that area have today written very powerful letters to Andy Burnham, begging him to protect their childhoods,” he continued. Panning onto examples of handwritten letters, Christys said, “The children are telling Andy Burnham how much they love playing freely in their local park, walking their dogs. They’ve issued some powerful video messages to him as well.”
Giving viewers a glimpse of their messages, Christys remarked: “It’s really sad, isn’t it? It is so sad that we appear content to ruin or negatively impact the childhoods of so many of those youngsters for the sake of accommodating those illegal migrants.”

Following the recent crisis in Ceuta, which saw the Spanish enclave overwhelmed by more than 60,000 migrants, Burnham has promised that he and his government will be “relentless” in their handling of immigration. Nonetheless, the prime minister has come under fire for heading on his summer holidays just weeks into his administration.
Responding to the news, Reform UK chairman Lee Anderson MP said: “Two weeks into the job and Andy Burnham has already had enough. After dropping a number of unfunded commitments and overseeing over 2000 illegal migrants breaking into our country, he’s bunked off for a jolly abroad. This isn’t a prime minister that’s serious about leading.”
