Anthony’s Fight: From Stage 2 to Stage 4, But Never Without Hope.

About a month ago, I asked for prayers for my family. I didn’t share the details at the time—not because they weren’t important, but because I was still trying to process them myself.

Now, I’m ready to tell you what’s been happening.

It started with a simple stomachache—lower abdominal pain that led my son, Anthony, to the doctor. We thought maybe an ulcer or some inflammation. But after tests, we were hit with something far more serious: a tumor in his colon. The initial diagnosis pointed to Stage 2 colon cancer.

It felt like the floor dropped out from under us.
Still, there was some comfort. His heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys were all healthy. There was hope.

But then came more tests… and more bad news.

It’s not Stage 2 anymore. Anthony has Stage 4 colon cancer. There are now two tumors. Some of his lymph nodes are affected. The cancer is spreading faster than we imagined—but thank God, his other organs remain untouched.

The treatment plan is aggressive, and we are grateful for that. Radiation will do the heavy lifting—85% of the work. Chemotherapy will support the rest, targeting whatever radiation might miss. And thankfully, his cancer responds well to radiation. That’s our light in this tunnel.

This all happened in just one month. One month. From Stage 1 suspicions… to Stage 4 reality.

It’s overwhelming. It’s terrifying. It’s unfair.

But here’s what’s not changing—Anthony’s spirit.

Even now, with everything happening, he’s still cracking jokes. Still finding ways to make me laugh. That’s just who he is—my brave, ridiculous, beautiful son. He believes in staying positive, and I believe in him. That attitude, that laughter—it’s part of the fight. Maybe even the biggest part.

He’s strong. He’s loved. He’s not going through this alone.

If you’re reading this, please keep Anthony in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of strength matters. Every prayer is felt. Every kind word is part of the fight.

And just so you know who you’re praying for—this is the face that goes with the name.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for walking this path with us. 🙏❤️
